Getting Here
Driving from Melbourne take the Hume Freeway north and turn off to Chiltern 35 km northeast of Wangaratta (about 3.5 hours from Melbourne).
Driving from Sydney or Canberra head south on the Hume Highway and turn off to Chiltern 30 km south-west of Albury-Wodonga (about 7 hours from Sydney, 5 hours from Canberra).
Trains stop at Chiltern three times daily in both directions. Contact V/Line in Victoria for timetable details. Bikes can be transported on the train for easy cycling around Chiltern.
